Adelbert Phelps

Adelbert Phelps passed away peacefully at the age of 79 years old with family by his side. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Lila; his children, Cindy (Rick) Fink, Charlene (Dave) Phillips, Candice (Darin) Wright, and Crystal (Dusty) Read; and grandchildren, April (Donald) Furness; Alex, Mitchell and Lauren Phillips; Logan and Lucas Read and Aidan Wright.
Delbert was born June 1, 1944 in Eckville, AB. He took over the family farm after his father passed away when he was 16 years old. He loved his farm and the land and continued farming with pride for his entire life. Delbert was known for his love of family, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, and adventures with his friends and neighbours. Delbert will be remembered for his hard work ethic and willingness to help out anyone in a bind. We will remember his outgoing and friendly nature and his ability to make a new friend in any situation he was presented with.
He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Evelyn Phelps, his siblings Marie Bott, Leonard Phelps, Muriel Bott and his grandson Adam Fink.
A Celebration of Delbert’s Life will be held at Eckville Community Centre on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at 1:00 pm.

I will also remember and think of the wonderful time we had when you came to Arizona and was so glad you got to meet my husband before he passed and you will never know how much it meant when you came for his celebration of life, 5 months after he passed. That still puts a lump in my throat. I will only ever think of him with loving thoughts, he was a wonderful man. God bless you all.

So sorry for your loss.
