Albert Carpenter

Albert (Al) Edward Carpenter, born July 23, 1954 in Kingston, Ontario, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Calgary Intercare Chinook Hospice, from esophageal cancer. Al was a longtime Safeway employee, last working at the Ogden location before his retirement. An avid dart player, Al enjoyed taking the time to mentor new players. He was a member of various Royal Canadian Legions throughout his life, the last being Chapelhow Branch #284, as well as playing in the Inter Community Dart League, where he always remembered everyone's names and ensured he had a happy hello for all. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Intercare Chinook Hospice staff for their extraordinary care in Al's final days, as well as to the staff at Rockyview Hospital. As per his wishes, Al was cremated and there will be no service. Donations in Al's memory can be made to Diabetes Canada.
