Alice "Jean" Kovach

Our family is saddened for our loss of Mom, “Grandma Jean”.

She was a great mother and an exceptional grandma. She loved to help others and volunteered for Victims Services for 10 years, in that time she also volunteered for M.A.D.D. She was a bookkeeper for her career and in retirement did taxes for others. Our family will miss her deeply.

Mom is lovingly remembered by her children, Eric Koskela, Karen DeVouge, Dave Koskela, Angie Koskela and Ken Koskela; grandkids, Vicki Mikal, Brent Klassen, Amanda Koskela, Anthony Eggert, Kyle Eggert, Mia Koskela and Brenna Koskela; great grandchildren, Oliver, Leo, Charlotte and Violet. Mom was predeceased by her late husband, Charles Kovach; brother, Fred Shelton; and sister, Ellen Drouin.

She will be missed by many, her best friend Sandra she loved like a sister and Sylvia she met at Victim Services and talked to everyday.

She was a knowledgeable person, could sew anything, cook a big dinner, canned like no one we’ve ever seen, get people together and she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rest in peace mom, we will continue to keep your memory alive.

So sorry to hear about your mom and grandma. We were sisters in law years ago and she was always pleasant and kind. Thinking of you all and wishing you peace and lovely memories of Jean.

Many wonderful memories of Aunt Jean. I’ll miss her even though I hadn’t seen her in quite a while.
