Very sad to hear about Al. Al and I went to school together and worked together at the old Tuner Valley gas plant. He was a good friend.

Allan was my favourite customer at Save On Foods over the years I’ve been there. He would always stop to say hi and chat, and was honestly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Every time he came in he’d drop something off at the food bank too.
You will be missed more than you know Allan, thank you for being such an amazing person.

Big Al was the town's gentle giant, he always had time to talk and a big smile. I will always remember his laugh. You could count on him to be having coffee with someone at the LAB, Tiffany's, or The Chuckwagon if you needed him in the morning and he would help no matter what. You are missed my friend , have a coffee with everyone up there for us.

In the few years after our family settled in Calgary (1963), and before we spread our wings to make our separate lives, I had the opportunity and pleasure of getting to know you better. Your kind and gentle nature, wry wit and humor mentioned herein, are what I will hold close in remembrance.
