It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andre Gerard Santerre on Monday, January 12th, 2026 at the age of 81 at the Dulcina Hospice of Calgary.

Loving husband of 50 years to Noella (nee Arcand), he will also be honored by his daughters, Carole Santerre (Brian Jones) and Francine Laurin (Daniel); son, Robert Landry and daughter-in-law, Louise Landry (Normand, predeceased). Known as Pepere, he will be missed by his grandchildren, Zoe Jones, Melanie Laurin, Brandon Landry, Patrick Guertin & Eric Guertin; as well as his great-grandchildren, Katherine, Penelope and Samuel Guertin. He is also survived by his loving sister, Monique Santerre.

He was predeceased by his parents, Omer and Francoise (nee Martin) Santerre of Kapuskasing Ontario; and his son, Normand Landry.

Andre focused on living life to its fullest and spending time with his loved ones. His love of travel took him across North America and the Caribbean. He especially enjoyed his travels through Canada’s Rocky Mountains which always brought him joy through the beautiful natural scenery. He also spent many summers with his wife in the Sturgeon Falls area of Ontario at their trailer where they shared many cherished memories. He was also known as being lighthearted with quick wit and always wanting to put a smile on the faces of those around him.

The family would like to thank the team at Dulcina Hospice in Calgary for their support and care.

Uncle Andre, you always were quick with stories about you and Dad. I always loved the way your face always lite up whenever "the entire family" was together. So much like Dad. Thank you for that.
