In Memory
Andrew (Tony) Anthony Vaisnis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew (Tony) Anthony Vaisnis, who passed away peacefully with his daughters on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the age of 66.
Andrew was predeceased by his beloved wife, Patricia Vaisnis; his parents, Vit and Rae Vaisnis; his brothers, Tim and Richard Vaisnis; his cherished granddaughter, Hayley.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Susan Vaisnis and Kim; and his grandchildren, Roberto, Andres, and Legend. He is also survived by his devoted sister, Raeleen; his caring sisters-in-law, Shawna and Cindy; and many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know him.
Andrew lived a full and adventurous life, travelling the world and developing a deep affection for Thailand. He dedicated his career to the oil and gas industry, where he became known as a master of his field and a generous mentor. A man of great integrity and selflessness, Andrew was always there for those he loved—steadfast, kind, and endlessly giving.
A Memorial Celebration of Andrew’s Life, where friends and family will gather to honour his memory, share stories, and celebrate the lasting impact he made on their lives, will be held at Valleyview Community Church, 7656 - 26 Ave SW, Calgary, AB on Saturday, August 23, 2025 @ 2:00 PM. Rev. Grant Gunnick will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Lung Association, www.ablung.ca supporting vital research to end the suffering caused by lung disease—an organization close to Andrew’s heart.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

I am so sorry to hear of Tony’s passing.
I remember meeting Tony at Bench school in Grade six and you all lived on Vee Road.
He was an incredible athlete and such a solid person even as a young man.
Take good care of yourself and Tony’s family.
Hard to lose a brother.
Hard to be the only sister and a nurse.
Thinking of you.
With sincere sympathy,
Mary
