Anita Doiron

Anita Ann (nee Gallant) Doiron, of Airdrie, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the age of 87, at The Airdrie Care Community on Friday, February 9th, 2024.

Anita was born on February 9th, 1937. She was the loving wife of her late husband Melvin John Doiron, and the loving mother of her late sons; Wayne Joseph (Lorna) Doiron and Carl Raymond (Melody) Doiron.

Anita is lovingly remembered by her three children, Kathleen (Jeff) Vitale, Glenn (Shannon) Doiron, and John (Kim Cook) Doiron; sister, Thelma Hancock; and her sisters-in-law, Ella Mae Doiron and Kathy Doiron. She was the loving grandmother of Ron (Michelle), Korey and Jordan, Michael (Kara), Shanelle (Justin), Tyler and Riley; and to great-grandchildren, Sydnee and Kaenna, Rylin, Siena and Arlo, and Maverick and Keaton.

After struggling with dementia over the past few years, Anita succumbed to this disease and became an Angel of God on February 9th, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a memorial donation in Anita’s memory may be made to The Airdrie Care Community, 15 Market Boulevard, Airdrie, AB T4A 0A7.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 1305 Main Street S. Airdrie, Alberta on Thursday, February 15th, 2024 at 1:00 PM. For livestream please follow the link https://youtube.com/live/skwBEzsizl4.

My deepest sympathies to you all in the loss of Aunt Anita. Many of my childhood memories are back in Millvale, PEI with Anita, Melvin and cousins. Great times, family picnics, lots of music and always laughter and love.
Anita will be deeply missed.

Mom D will be greatly missed, she was a loving mother-in-law to me, always had hugs, smiles & laughter on every visit. Heaven has gained another angel, sending love, and prayers to all my Doiron Family from PEI, God Bless 🙏🏻

Our Aunt was a loving, happy, and welcoming woman! Her heart and her home were open to all who crossed her path. Biscuits and tea could always be had along with a shoulder, hug, and shared laughter. Rest in peace💗

My condolences to cousin Thelma, and all of the family. My memories of Anita, visiting uncle Leo and aunt Mary in Hope River, Anita was always happy go lucky. Her family has another angel shining on them.
