Arlene Olsen

Passed in Calgary, AB

Arlene Olsen passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the age of 89 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lynn Olsen and Gary (Connie) Olsen; grandchildren, Kristina and Kai (Sam); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Erling; her sister, Darlene; and her parents, Jim and Gerty.

Arlene was very social, so she was always up for a visit, a game of cards, or a meal. She took great pleasure in sharing her life with others. Arlene was an avid bingo player and never missed an opportunity to sneak in a game.

The family would like to thank the staff at AgeCare Bowcrest for the care Arlene received.

In keeping with her wishes, a private family Graveside Service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Goldenrod Community Hall on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 1-4PM. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the Canadian Cancer Society https://cancer.ca/en

So sorry to learn of your Mother's passing. Arlene was always so kind, cheery and welcoming whenever I ran into her about the community. She was a fountain of local news and kept up with everyone it seemed. A fixture of 'old Airdrie' that will be very much missed.
