In Memory
Arthur Lupuliak

Art Lupuliak passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, just shy of his 71st birthday. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Rachael (Kevin) Robinson, Tammy (Jarrett) Graham, Nathan (Bernice) Lupuliak and Amber Lupuliak. He will also be sadly missed by his two granddaughters, Juliana and Madelyn Robinson.
Art was small in stature, but his personality (and voice) could fill any room. He was born in Sturgis, Saskatchewan, one of nine to first generation Ukrainian immigrants. Upon completing high school, he moved to Calgary working many different jobs before starting at Alberta Terminals Ltd. He met the love of his life, Hazel, in 1974 and soon after they wed. Art worked his way up at the terminals, which he ended up managing for several years, while also starting a family. Soon they were a family of 4 with Rachael & Tammy, born before 1980. The family then decided to open their home and hearts to foster children. Art was well known for his generosity and kindness throughout his life. Over the years they had over 50 placements and adopted Nathan and Amber. After the birth of their grandchildren, they stopped fostering, Art retiring from SGS and Hazel from her many roles helping parents do better. In their retirement they did enjoy a bit of travelling, Hawaii being their favourite. He enjoyed their backyard garden & entertaining friends & family. Art was predeceased by his wife Hazel in 2021, and his health and spirit deteriorated. While we are saddened, he is no longer here, we hope he is finally at peace. We will be hosting one last gathering in his garden on Saturday, August 31, 2025. Please contact Rachael robiak@shaw.ca for further details.
