Betty Margaret Graham

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Betty on Friday, July 12, 2024 at the age of 94. Betty is survived by her husband of 76 years William Graham (99) and was predeceased by her loving Granny Caroline Inge and her son David. Betty lived a long and fruitful life, she was a devoted mother of 4 children, Margaret (Bill), Carolyn, David (Pat), Norman (Sue) and is survived by 11 grandchildren and a large extended family.

Betty worked for the Calgary Board of Education as a teacher’s aide until 1988. She was very proud of the children she helped during those years. Betty was a fun vibrant and talented person whose home was the center of many special occasions entertaining family and friends and often extended an invitation to any individual that needed a place to celebrate. Betty loved camping with friends and family (sitting around a warm fire), traveling south to Yuma in the winter months and cruising in the Caribbean and Alaska. She loved to dance, her favorites being square dancing and round dancing (over 25 years).  A very artistic person she loved to draw and paint with watercolors; she was a wonderful sewer and knit and crocheted many items for family.

We wish to extend a sincere thanks and gratitude to the St Teresa’s staff who were always there to support Betty through some very challenging times. A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
