Betty Svingen

Betty Svingen, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on April 22, 2026, in Calgary, Alberta. She was born on March 25, 1948, in Alberta.

Betty had a passion for gardening, traveling with family, camping, supporting racing events for Harry and friends, enjoying sister weekends, crafting, and spoiling all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Dave and his wife Heather, granddaughter Sam, Mitch and great grandson Wilder, grandson Devin and wife Brittany and great-grandchildren Sophie, Ethan, Quinn, and Dreyden, grandsons Zack and Aaron. She is also survived by her sisters Linda, Kathy, and Carol, as well as numerous in-laws and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly 

Betty was preceded in death by her son Darren in 2009, her mother in June 2025, and her husband Harry in November 2025.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Town and Country Center, located at 103, 275 Jensen Dr NE Airdrie, Alberta, on May 23, 2026, at 11:00 with a luncheon to follow.

Family attended Internment at 9 am at the Airdrie Cemetery 

Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved. May she rest in peace.
