B. Joyce Miller

B. Joyce Miller, of Didsbury, Alberta passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the age of 95 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her son-in-law, Doug (Kathy); son, Doug (Carol) and daughter, Shauna; grandchildren, Michael (Pam), Erin (Rob), Chris (Sam), Danny (Allison), Ryan (Caitlin), Nicole (Keegan), Kimberly, and Quinn; great-grandchildren, Emma, Lily, Alexander, William, Dayna, Sadie, Douglas, Grace, Avery, Ana Jo, and Eleanor; as well as many relatives and friends.
Joyce was born on September 26, 1930 to George and Mary Weastell in Edmonton Alberta. She became a public health nurse all around Alberta and was a past acting director of the Didsbury Health Unit prior to retiring in 1995. She also worked as a Health Authority 5 Board Member for several years after retiring from the Alberta Health Unit. She was driven to help others and ensure both rules and protocols were adhered to. Joyce enjoyed travelling the world and loved her cruises. Her travels brought her to Didsbury, where she met Wilf at Melvin Hall at a local dance. They later eloped on a Friday the 13th in 1953.
She was predeceased by her father and mother, George and Mary Weastell; sister, Kay Prather; husband, Wilf Miller; daughter, Kathy Robertson; and grandson, Kyle Sutherland.
Thank you to the nurses and staff of Mountain View Seniors Housing in Sundre who attended with care and compassion, especially these past few months.
At the family's request, a private service will be held.
