Bobby Moore

Bob Moore went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the age of 85.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jackie; his children, Gary Moore, Lori Moore Middleton, Bobby Moore Jr., Christina Moore Rudachek, Tracy Moore, Melinda Moore Csonka; step daughter, Heather Mackay; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

Bob was predeceased by his father, Noble Moore; mother, Elsie Nichols Moore; brothers, Buddy Moore, Larry Moore, and David Moore; as well as nephews Mike, and Shane Moore.

Born in West Virginia, USA, Bob worked in Ohio before moving his family to the Fort St John, BC, area in 1972, and lived on community farms for seven years.  During his lifetime, he worked at various jobs including a rubber factory, maintaining golfing greens, semi truck driver, dispatcher, trapper with dog sled team, farming, and raising livestock.  Never one to sit still, he enjoyed boating, fishing and trail riding horseback.  His last job was team driving with Jackie for ten years, hauling hazmat from the USA to Canada, before retiring at age 73.   Bob then moved from Fort St John, with wife Jackie, and step daughter Heather Mackay, to an acreage northwest of Calgary, Alberta, into farm and ranchland country with mountain views.

Bob loved time with his kids and their friends, and there are stories to be told as he touched the lives of a lot of people.  He will be sadly missed by everyone he met.

Thank you to the Didsbury AHS Home Care Workers and Team, for all you have done for Bob throughout his struggle with Alzheimers.  Your dedication made it possible for him to stay home until he passed on.  Special thanks to Dr. Ali, who was his family doctor for over ten years and provided him with such good care.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.

If you wish to make a memorial donation, you are encouraged to give to an Alzheimer Society near you.
