In Memory
Brenda Marion Derusha

It is with great sadness the family is announcing the passing of our precious Brenda after a fierce battle against cancer.
Brenda will be immensely missed forever by Bill, her husband and sparring partner of 59 years. Their story began at the age of 15 when Brenda became smitten with a skinny boy with coke bottle thick glasses. They married at 17 and built a life together facing joy and challenges hand in hand.
Brenda leaves behind a legacy through her daughters, Donna (Cam) and Laura (Quin); and her grandchildren, Will, Camryn, Morgan and Melyssa. She will also be greatly missed by her siblings, Russell, John, Sandra and Susie. She is now together with her parents, Russell and Jean McPeak and is once again causing chaos with her sister, Dale and brother, Scott.
Brenda’s tough love and unfiltered honesty were legendary. You might not have always agreed with her, but you always knew exactly what she was thinking. Her blunt truth showed loved ones she cared.
Brenda found joy in spending time at the family trailer at Westward Ho, with or without her family, and she was a true social butterfly often starting conversations with strangers. She loved getting lost in a good book, playing a game of cards with friends, watching cooking competition shows, and enjoyed any craft involving sparkles and glitter. She was always up for a good treasure hunt expedition, or a drive to a small town for a meal.
We will miss you, your stuffing and devilled eggs, forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to your favourite charity in Brenda’s memory.
