Brian was born on May 31, 1955, in Lethbridge and lived a life marked by his strong will, his larger-than-life persona, kindness, and love of animals. Brian loved life in the fast lane and will be remembered for his 2 drag race cars, his height of 6’6” and his nicknames Too Tall Tollin and Big Sexy. He loved his Blue Peterbilt with wild horses painted on the side, his love of keeping his vehicles spotlessly clean, his various hair salons and his steady clients who turned into lifelong friends.
Brian is lovingly remembered by Kathleen; sons, Marcel, Jeff (Danielle) and their children Miella and Siofra; daughter, Kristy (Jay) & their children, Marcus, Austin, Gracelynn, Cody & Chase, he is also survived by his former wife, Terry. Brian will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
Thank you to Tudor Manor Brenda Strafford Foundation in Okotoks who helped Brian during a challenging time. Special thank you to Cliff, hospice volunteer, who helped Brian carry on his journey and the numerous child-hood friends for their never-ending support of Brian.
Celebration of Life will be on May 30, 2026.

Brian was truly a wonderful man with a huge heart. He was always dedicated to making people’s lives better. He gave me my very first work experience at his salon in Ogden when I was in junior high, and I will never forget his kindness, positivity, and encouragement.
Even as the years passed, whenever we ran into each other, we would pick up right where we left off. That was just who he was genuine, humble, and deeply caring.
His kindness and his big, beautiful personality will never be forgotten. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and to all the friends whose lives he touched. He truly made this world a better place.
He will always be remembered.
