Bryce Gibson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bryce Gibson on May 26, 2025, in Calgary, Alberta. Born on February 21, 1946, in Toronto, Ontario, Bryce was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to many.

Bryce had a passion for collecting unique knick-knacks, each one holding a story or a memory. He was also a meticulous model-maker, bringing tiny worlds to life with patience and care. He found joy in spending time with his family and friends, and loved nothing more than hitting the mountains for a snowmobiling adventure. He was a man who truly loved life — someone who found joy in the simple things and treasured the people closest to him above all. His greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren, whom he loved deeply and unconditionally. Every moment spent with family was a gift he never took for granted.

Bryce is lovingly remembered by his daughters Melissa Rossi and Amber Gibson, and his son Micheal Gibson in Ontario. He is also survived by his daughter Darlene Surkon and son Bryce Jr. Gibson in Alberta. His legacy lives on in his cherished grandchildren: Scarlett Rossi, Abigail Gibson, Kristin Surkon, Melissa Todd, and Kelly Jr. Surkon.

His presence was a gift, and his absence leaves a space that cannot be filled.

In lieu of a service, the family asks that you remember Bryce in your own way, whether it's taking a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature or sharing a special memory with a loved one. Bryce's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest in peace, Bryce.

Wow, there are so many memories. I’d like to share over the past 20 years, but I can only share how much I’m gonna miss my dad. We spent summers together in the shu swap. We had so much fun it take us four days to cut the lawn my dad and I he loved his snowmobile. We did a lot of snowmobiling. He bought one of our snowmobiles and he just loved it to he was so proud of all of his children like Amber said he was the best dad in the whole world. I’m gonna miss you so much dad I don’t even know how I’m gonna get through anything that I go through anymore without you I love you so so so much, daddy.❤️❤️

Bryce I will always remember you and what we shared. Our friendship was never lost throughout the years no matter where you were and even though we may not have seen each other or talked to often, when we did it was always a close rendering because we had so much to share in the past and for the future You will be sadly missed but never forgotten.Until then

Daddy, I miss you.

Remember when we used to go for walks down the path through the little forest by your house in Kitchener? We would stop where there was a little ledge by the water, sit and have lunch and talk. We will go for one of those walks again some day . It is one of my favorite memories of us, Dad. I will always cherish it and so many more. You know that. I love you so much. More than I could ever put into words. Rest Peacefully, Dadio.

Love your daughter,
Amber

I remember building tons of models with Dad, from lego sets to intricate car models. I miss you Dad, I really wish I could call you right now. I’m hurting cause I can’t pick up the phone and call you. Don’t ever think for one second that I am not thinking about you. I will never forget the times we spent together, the cool little things we did and how you always got Amber and I Mr. Sub. You are a good father and I know in my heart you would do anything for your children. You raised your son just fine and I will raise your grandaughter with the same love you gave me. Abigail and I love you with all are hearts.

I will see you again Dad, some day.
