In Memory
Bryce Gibson
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bryce Gibson on May 26, 2025, in Calgary, Alberta. Born on February 21, 1946, in Toronto, Ontario, Bryce was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Bryce had a passion for collecting unique knick-knacks, each one holding a story or a memory. He was also a meticulous model-maker, bringing tiny worlds to life with patience and care. He found joy in spending time with his family and friends, and loved nothing more than hitting the mountains for a snowmobiling adventure. He was a man who truly loved life — someone who found joy in the simple things and treasured the people closest to him above all. His greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren, whom he loved deeply and unconditionally. Every moment spent with family was a gift he never took for granted.
Bryce is lovingly remembered by his daughters Melissa Rossi and Amber Gibson, and his son Micheal Gibson in Ontario. He is also survived by his daughter Darlene Surkon and son Bryce Jr. Gibson in Alberta. His legacy lives on in his cherished grandchildren: Scarlett Rossi, Abigail Gibson, Kristin Surkon, Melissa Todd, and Kelly Jr. Surkon.
His presence was a gift, and his absence leaves a space that cannot be filled.
In lieu of a service, the family asks that you remember Bryce in your own way, whether it's taking a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature or sharing a special memory with a loved one. Bryce's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest in peace, Bryce.

Remember when we used to go for walks down the path through the little forest by your house in Kitchener? We would stop where there was a little ledge by the water, sit and have lunch and talk. We will go for one of those walks again some day . It is one of my favorite memories of us, Dad. I will always cherish it and so many more. You know that. I love you so much. More than I could ever put into words. Rest Peacefully, Dadio.
Love your daughter,

I miss you more than words can say. You were my safe place — always there with love, comfort, and quiet strength. I’ll carry your warmth and your spirit with me for the rest of my life. Thank you for being the dad you were. I love you forever.
Love your daughter,
Melissa
