Caiden Gowing

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Caiden Liam Gowing of Penhold, Alberta on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary Alberta, at the young age of 20. Born on October 7, 2003 in Red Deer Alberta, he was the cherished son of Kerri Gowing and Jarvis Pittman of Red Deer, Alberta. 

He leaves behind grandparents, Norman and Audrey Gowing from Penhold; godfather, Cody Scott of Okotoks; biological father, Shane Soderburg of Ponoka; his half brothers, Liam and Hunter Soderburg; and grandparents, Dan and Kevin Soderburg from Clive. He also leaves to mourn, his girlfriend, Brooke Kinney, from Sylvan Lake. Caiden will be fondly remembered by all his friends and extended family.

 Words can’t describe how much we’ll miss him.  Caiden lit up every room with his beautiful smile and always knew how to make people laugh.

 We know that Caiden touched many lives, and we’re devastated to have to break this news.  He was well loved and will be missed by many.

 We would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Red Deer Regional Hospital, Emergency Department, and the staff at the Calgary Foothills Medical Centre, ICU for their support and care given to Caiden.   

 A Celebration of Life will be held at the Springbrook Multiplex at #104, 3216 - 22 st Springbrook, Alberta on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 2:00 pm.

 Caiden had a real love for animals and so it would be appreciated, that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Central Alberta Humane Society.     https://cahumane.com/
