Christopher Wayne Gow

It is with broken hearts that we, the family, regret to announce the loss of our beloved Chris on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Chris passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy battle with COPD.

He was born on Pelee Island, Ontario, on January 10, 1961. Chris was the son of the late Greta Gow Pillon (nee Bourdeau) and Milton Gow. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Robert Pillon.

Chris moved to Alberta at an early age, where he worked various jobs and made many lifelong friends. Chris was a car enthusiast. He also enjoyed playing cards and collecting unique finds - but got the most pleasure riding his Harley Davidson. He was also an avid sports fan, always cheering on the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Red Wings. Chris loved good food, dessert, and a cold Pepsi.

Left to mourn is his devoted partner, Judy Burns and her family. He was the beloved father of three sons, Curtis, Calvin (Mackenzie Ruptash), and Harley.

He will also be missed dearly by his siblings, Judy (Derrick Casey), Doug (Shelley), Greg (Annette), Carolyn (Richard Paquette), Keith (Juanita), Jonathan (Danielle), and Jennifer; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his fur babies, Izzie and Mini, who rarely left his side. Chris will also be missed by his many good friends at the ranch.

We would like to thank EMS for their quick response and the many doctors who cared for Chris in recent years.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Prairie Rose Cremation & Funeral Services.

A Celebration of Life to honour Chris will be held at the Woodside Seniors Club, 411 Woodside Dr. NW, Airdrie, AB on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 3:00–6:00 p.m. With a time to share memories at 4:00 p.m.

Chris was a big man with a bigger heart. May you fly high with the eagles.
