In Memory
Cody Kasha

In a tragic motor vehicle accident, we lost our boy. He will forever be 28—and forever our boy.
Cody grew up in Calgary, where he became part of the Scout family, beginning with Cubs and continuing through Rovers in several areas of the city. Scouting was a cornerstone of his youth, nurturing his love of the outdoors, adventure, and teamwork. We will always be grateful to the incredible volunteers and leaders who helped shape those years.
In high school, Cody discovered and refined his natural gift for mechanics, graduating at the top of his class. Afterward, he stepped into the “family business” at Cana Energy, first working in the field before starting an apprenticeship as a Heavy Equipment Technician at Paradise Truck and Trailer. Grateful for the guidance he received there, Cody later expanded his skills at Fleet Brake. For the past five years, he was part of the Accurate Mechanical team, where he sharpened his mechanical abilities, problem-solving skills, and—at times—his patience. He cared deeply about doing things right and doing them safely, and he built lasting bonds with his Accurate family, for which we are truly thankful.
Cody is lovingly remembered by his parents, Shane and Jessie Kasha; his sister and best friend, Taylor Kasha; grandparents, Bryan and Darlene Kasha; Uncle Chad, Chasey, Calley, and Chayley; Jade Kasha; Aunty Dana; Arianna and Evan Kasha; Nanny Marlene and her husband, Brent Kryschuk of Saskatchewan; and Gramma Liana of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his Papa (Leo) of Winnipeg.
He was also blessed with an extended family like no other. Our KaPutSki family is as heartbroken as we are. Uncle Dean and Aunty Heather; Anthony; Sabrina (Brandon); Jevon and Teagan Putman; Uncle Aaron and Aunty Leanne; Kyra (Devin); and Nicole (Tyler) Chmielewski—Cody treasured each of you.
One of the greatest joys of Cody’s life was the bond he shared with his sister, Taylor. They were inseparable—camping, racing go-karts, mini-golfing, bouncing through inflatable castles, and creating countless adventures. Their stories will bring laughter for years to come.
We invite family, friends, and coworkers—past and present—to join us for a casual and heartfelt celebration of Cody’s life. Together we’ll share stories, laughter, and memories of 28 years well lived. There will be tears, but we hope there will be even more smiles. No formal wear is needed—Cody would have wanted a gathering full of warmth, connection, and maybe fewer hugs.
We are deeply grateful for the many messages of comfort and support we have received. They have made this time more bearable. Our thanks as well to Prairie Rose Cremation and Funeral Services for their compassion and professionalism in guiding Cody’s final journey.
In memory of Cody, gather for a family meal, create an adventure, and always remember the good times. Cody was exceptionally close to his family, and nothing would honor him more.
