Cyndi Edmonds

Cyndi Edmonds, 65, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in the presence of her daughter, Jennifer and son, Matthew in Calgary, Alberta.

Cyndi was a compassionate and affectionate soul, always going out of her way to make someone laugh and help others. For many years, Cyndi worked as a care aide in a nursing home and spent much of her free time volunteering with her kids.

She enjoyed philosophy and writing; she was a talented artist. Her love for nature inspired adventure, brought her peace, and took her on long drives through the mountains. She loved camping and spending quality time with her family.

Cyndi is lovingly remembered by her two children, Matthew and Jennifer Edmonds; her siblings, Darcy Novak (Kim), Robert Moody (Lorelei), Rod Moody (Deb), Sherry Novak, Terry Moody, Trent Moody, and Helen Plumtree (Peter); and many cherished nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her mother, Helen Moody (Novak); her father, Robert Moody and her brothers, Dale and David Moody.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 26th, at Riley Park at 12:30 pm, for family and friends. Internment will be restricted to family only.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the care team at Peter Lougheed ICU for their excellent care and unparalleled expertise. We would also like to thank Pathways for Housing/the Alex for providing years of compassion, companionship and care.
