Dauna MacDonald

On May 1st, 2025, Dauna MacDonald (nee Stickel) passed away peacefully at South Health Campus surrounded by her loving family at the age of 70 years.

Dauna was predeceased by her father, Jim Stickel; and her older brother, Allan Stickel. Dauna is lovingly remembered by her mother, Mary Stickel; her two children, Jamie MacDonald and Sharron Afech; her three grandchildren, Zachariah, Noah and Zayn Afech as well as her siblings, Sharron Vancise, Keith (Laurie) Stickel, Tim (Debbie) Stickel and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dauna grew up in Calgary, Alberta where she studied to become an LPN. She then moved to British Columbia where she started her family with her husband and two children. When Dauna’s children had grown, she moved back to Calgary to continue her nursing career until she retired.

Mom loved to go on many walks with her mom and daughter as well as her three grandchildren accompanied by her dog Coco. Dauna had a very caring and close relationship with her co-workers and clients. She was very well loved by her place of employment at Carewest Sarcee.

Dauna has left us too soon but will be truly missed by her family and friends, she will always be remembered dearly in our hearts forever.
