Diana Olson

February 28th, 1937 - February 29th, 2024
Diana Olson

On February 29, 2024, in Calgary, Alberta, Diana Margaret Olson, born February 28, 1937 in Chippenham, United Kingdom, left her earthly body to transition home.  She was 87 years and one day old.  She joins her soulmate Derek, who passed in October 2020.

Diana lived what she often referred to as a wonderful life.  She lived in England, Australia and Canada.  Throughout her life, she had many roles including beauty pageant queen, journalist, published author, hypnotherapist, and Reiki master.  Diana’s greatest pride, however, was her family.  She is lovingly remembered by her six children, Rodian, Ganis, Liana, Karl (Maria), Sara and Michelle (Ryan); four grandchildren, Katlin, Leah (Jordan), Victoria (Daniel) and Kira; and her six great- grandchildren, Charles, Ava, Reina, Theo, Ozzie and Maia.  She will be missed by all who loved her, including very special doggos, Sophia and Heidi.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 11:00 AM in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints:

Crescent Heights Chapel, 202 Crescent Road NE, Calgary, Alberta

Refreshments to follow at the same location.

A very special thank you to the staff at the Newport Harbour Care Centre who, in just 10 short days, made her feel happy, welcome, cared for, and at home.  You are all angels on earth, and we are so grateful for you.

Diana did not have any one charity that was close to her heart, however, acts of kindness to anyone less fortunate can be made in Diana’s honour.  Invite someone who is alone to your next Christmas meal, help your neighbor, or give love to another person or creature in any way that fills your heart.
