Dick James Ellory Dickinson passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the age of 78 years old. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife, Jeanette; children, Brad (Kathleen), Marilyn (Ron) and Stacie; step-children, Dawn and Stephan(Tanya); 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Alvin (Carol, Jean Paul (Heather); and sisters, Shirley and Blanche.

Dick was predeceased by his parents, Laura and Fred Dickinson; sister, Stella (George), brothers-in-law, John and Gerald; and step-grandson, Coltyn.

Dick touched so many lives. He moved from Athoville, NB to Airdrie, AB in the late 70’s. He built Westinghouse/Cutler Hammer for 30 years. He was a Rotarion and Realtor, built 2 liquor stores, Dick’s Pub & Grill, among volunteering in many Airdrie charities after trying to retire 1 more time. He went to work for PSB with his lifelong friend, Ken Ionel. Dick joined the Mason’s of Crossfield Lodge #48 and became Worshiply Master. He later joined the Royal Arch Masons of Strathmore. His passion was to own a motorcycle and in 2000 he bought a Honda Goldwing and he travelled with his wife throughout Canada and the United States for 26 years.

In 2018 He joined Against All Abuse (AAA) motorcycle group and was a cherished member of the family. The Celebration of Life will be at the Town & Country Hall, 275 Jensen Dr. NE, Airdrie, AB on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at 1:30 PM. Lunch will follow.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, www.cancer.ca

Dick was an amazing man. I always enjoyed riding with him he was the most considerate rider and a great human being. He will be missed, ride safe in heaven and watch over us brother 🙏 💙 ❤️.
