Donna Joan Crawford

Donna Crawford (nee Davis) peacefully passed away in her sleep at Agape Hospice in Calgary, Alberta, on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

Donna was born in Calgary, Alberta, on August 5, 1935, and on October 12, 1957, she married the love of her life, Arthur Crawford of Saint John, NB. They have four children, Greg (Leslie), Gordon, Janet (Esben) and Lori; one granddaughter, Jessica (Dave); and a great grandson, Mason.

Donna was predeceased by her parents, Murray and Grace Davis; brothers, Gordie and Donnie; and sisters, Helen, Jean, and Sheila. She is survived by sisters, Marion, Elaine (Ken) and Margery (John).

Donna’s kindness and good, gentle heart and spirit touched everyone she came in contact with. She volunteered for many years at the Colonel Belcher Hospital and at the Fanning Centre as a caregiver, full of love and compassion. Donna had a truly special touch for people, and her warmth and compassion endeared her to all who met her. We all feel a deep sense of loss, and she is already missed far more than words can describe; but we all have a peace knowing that Donna has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour.

A Celebration of Donna’s Life will be held at Crescent Heights Baptist Church, 1212 – 1 Street NW, Calgary, AB, on Wednesday, August 30, at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Agape Hospice or to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary.
