In Memory
Doris Stewart
It
is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Doris
Stewart.
Doris
was born on a farm in Fir Mountain, Saskatchewan. One of nine siblings, she was
proud to say that most of them were delivered by their father.
Doris
was known for her passion of cooking. Right up until her final days, you could
find her whipping up a “supposedly simple” elaborate meal, always finished with
an assortment of desserts, baked with love. She treated everyone she knew as
family, and never hesitated to extend her kindness in any way that she could.
She
had many adventures with her husband, Ray over their 63 years of marriage. She
was predeceased by her son, Gord; mother and father; and seven of her
siblings.
Over
her final days, she was continuously surrounded by her loved ones.
Doris
is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ray; daughter, Kerry; son, Duane;
daughter in-law, Jennifer; granddaughter, Haley; great-grandkids, Asher, and
Zephyr; and many nieces and nephews.
We
would like to extend our thanks to the nurses and doctors at the South Calgary
Health Campus.
A
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In
lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
