It is with deepest sympathy that we announce Dee’s passing in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Hawthorne Senior’s Living in Cochrane.

She was predeceased by her mother, Gwendolyn Spencer Haines and father, Alford Edgar Haines of England.

Dee spent most of her time in England where she enjoyed being a coach tour guide enjoying traveling Europe. Dee moved to Canada in 1999 becoming a Canadian Citizen in 2006 and enjoyed her time as a health care worker helping the seniors out in Canmore where she spent most of her time with friends and family. She also enjoyed always listening to music.

A big thank you goes out to the second-floor staff of the Hawthorne in Cochrane who took care of Dee with the utmost respect and love. They went above and beyond and would come in and see Dee on days off with their children. They loved her and she will be missed by many.

The first and last time I met you was a very memorable year for me. Not only did I get to meet my step Mum but also you my step Aunt. You held my hand with warmth and kindness. Your eyes were glowing like the stars in the night. I wish I had more time with you. My sister Kathy always speaks highly of you and loved you so much. You will be sorely missed by many. The stories and memories you leave behind will live on through all the family. Sleep well sweet lady. Lots of Love Lyn
