Doug Grisbrook

March 3rd, 1955 - March 16th, 2024
Doug Grisbrook

Doug was born in Calgary and was a true Albertan, living his 69 years between Airdrie, Brooks and Calgary.

Doug started and built Wicked Promotional Products since 1985.  He was a kind and generous man who loved horse races, loved to cruise and giving his “magic” pins to everyone he met along the way.

After a lengthy illness, Doug slipped away peacefully at the Rockyview Hospital, with his loving wife by his side.

Doug is lovingly remembered by his wife, Della; sons, Craig and Scott; as well as numerous family and friends.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Newcastle Pub at 2703-17 Ave SW Calgary on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 2:00-5:00 PM.

We are deeply saddened upon hearing of Doug’s passing and extend our heartfelt sympathies to Della and family. We met Doug and Della at the Diplomat in Hollywood Florida several years ago. Doug was known as “ the Pin Man” gifting dozens of his pins to guests and staff around the pool and drinking holes. We cherish the memories of our time spent over dinners and more than a few coffee martinis. Till we meet again rest easy my friend.

I met Doug in 2010. Doug was a gregarious man larger than life with an infectious smile and a laugh that made everyone laugh with him. He loved life. He loved his family more than anything. He will be missed. I give my deepest condolences to Della, Craig, Scott and family. RIP Doug.

I met Doug in 1998 when I walked into his store " sport stitch " downtown- I was the Purolator Courier rep for his area - we soon became fast friends and I had the pleasure of sharing many many laughs with Doug- and most recently with Doug and Della- I will always smile when I think of " Grizzy" and his love for Della- Cars - and life in general. RIP Doug

Both of us are very sorry to hear of Doug's passing. Della - you are in our thoughts, along with the rest of Doug's family and close friends. Ed and I didn't know Doug long, not nearly long enough! We met because of the yorkies. But we both knew Doug to be so kind, genuine, very generous, sharing, upbeat and an instant friend! Such a likeable guy with a big personality. Always looking out for you once he knew you. Not many people give you that instant feeling of warmth and friendliness Doug offered up so naturally. He was always excited like a little kid to share the next surprise he had planned for his beloved Della. Such a rare love you two shared Della!
Heaven got back one of their BEST EVER with Doug. RIP our friend.

I only new Doug for a brief time, but oh my WHAT A MAN! He would have to be to catch the eye and lock down the beautiful Della! He called me and wanted to surprise get the puppies groomed for his and Della’s anniversary. He was doing his best to officially surprise her! He planned it all out making sure she would be at work and busy and he could sneak out! He adored Della like the queen she is. Doug was tenacious, a warrior, a go getter and a man with a heart bigger than life! Until we meet again in the mean time we will do our best to treasure Della for you as well as we can!
