Doug Posmituck

It is with deep sorrow and sadness that I announce the passing of my husband Doug at the Bethany Care Home in Sylvan Lake.

Doug will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife, Vicky, his brother Don (Irena) ,  13 of Vicky's brothers and sisters and other friends and family.  He was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Anne Posmituck, sister Susan and brother Robert of McCreary, MB

Doug spend the majority of his career with ATB Financial (Alberta Treasury Branches) and held many different positions in that organization in many different towns and cities.  After retirement he enjoyed golfing and working out at the gym.

Doug, we miss your wonderful sense of humor, your courage during your illness and other qualities that are too numerous to mention.

I would like to thank the staff at Bethany Care Home for their compassionate care of Doug prior to his passing.

We miss you so much Doug.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite charity.

A family get-to-gether will be planned for a later date.

So sorry for your loss , I worked for Doug back in Calgary General office for ATB. He was never too busy to roll up his sleeves and help with processing credit applications. He was a pleasure to work for as he was very supportive of his team.

We had such fun times, when Doug and Vicky lived in Regina as well as visiting over the years in the different places they lived. Lots of good memories of Jim and Doug goofing off when we visited. He will be missed.

Doug Rest In Peace.
Your friendship & hospitality was so appreciated when I had the opportunity to visit you in your different homes.
When we had our chats, I loved listening to your lovely voice.
You were the best cook.
Even though I’m so far away in Australia, I’m sad you’ve left us.
My comfort is knowing you’re in a better place.

When I came to visit, Doug was always so eager to cook something special for my sister and myself as we were enjoying a game of scrabble.
He was the perfect host and I miss him. Gone far too young.
