Dr. Sigmund Randall James Neu M.D.

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Sigmund Randall James Neu M.D, who passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at the age of 77.

Randall will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Elizabeth; his cherished children, Byron (wife Michelle Neu), Stephan, and Andrea (husband Otto Flores); and beloved grandchildren Maceo and Beau. He will also be missed by his extended family, many friends, and the countless patients whose lives he touched throughout his long and dedicated medical career.

Born on August 9, 1948, in Melfort, Saskatchewan, to his loving parents Jim and Paula Neu. Randall's life was shaped by curiosity, compassion, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in hunting and spending time in nature, pursuits that kept him grounded and connected to the land he loved.

From a young age, Randall knew that medicine was his calling. He graduated from the University of Calgary Medical School and went on to complete studies in Internal Medicine at Queen's University and Pathology at the University of Alberta. Ultimately, his heart led him to Family Medicine, where he found his true purpose. As a family physician, Randall was known for his empathy, dedication, and ability to make a difference in the lives of so many. He loved the diversity and challenge that family medicine brought, and his patients knew they were cared for by someone who truly listened.

Randall's absence will be deeply felt, but his legacy lives on-in his family, his friends, and the many lives he touched through his work and kindness. His memory will forever remain a source of inspiration and comfort to those who knew and loved him.

Randall was a truly unique man. A man of great character, compassion, intelligence and integrity. A man whose love for his wife and children knew no bounds. I’ve known Randall since High School. My most lasting memory of Randall will be his sense of Humour. Man he made me laugh.
