Dwight "Doug" Fleming

It is with profound sadness that the family of Dwight (Doug) H. Fleming announces his passing on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

Doug is survived by his beloved wife, Sheila; daughters, Michelle (David) and Megan; grandchildren, Regan and Riley; sisters, Donna Fleming, Susan Millar (Tim), Tina Sanderson (Bob); brother, William Fleming (Giselle); and brothers-in-law, Vern Eckert (Maureen) and Jack O'Reilly (Diane). He was predeceased by his parents, Rena and Fred Fleming; and brother, John (PeeWee). Doug is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished deeply. 

Doug was a friend and business partner to Marvin Dunwald. 

Doug was a man of integrity, kindness and loyalty and this was so evident in his devotion as a family man, always putting the needs of his loved ones before his own. He was an excellent provider, and his love and care for his wife and daughters were unwavering. Doug took great pride in being a grandfather, and his grandchildren Regan and Riley brought him immense joy.

Doug was a hard-working man who dedicated his life to his family and his business. He will always be remembered for his wisdom, generosity, and selflessness. His presence in the lives of those he loved and cared for will be sorely missed.

We take comfort in knowing that Doug's memory will live on through his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Silver Springs Community Centre, 5720 Silver Ridge Drive, NW, Calgary, Alberta

Interment will be held at a later date at Champion, Alberta.
