Betty (Elizabeth) Eben (nee: Wynnyk) passed away peacefully in hospital, surrounded by family, on the afternoon of July 11, 2023 at the age of 86 years.

Betty will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed, by her husband, Henry; her children, Russell, Laurie, Deb and Susan, plus 7 grandchildren, Kathlene, Eric, Katie, Stephanie, Travis, Zachary and Tristan; and 8 great-grandchildren, Noah, Natalie, Max, Ellie, Violet, Dylan, Fina and Colt; along with extended family members and friends.

A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Sundre Hospital for their compassionate care, dedication and support.

At Betty’s request there will be no memorial service. A private family burial of the urn will take place at a later date, in Slave Lake, Alberta.

I am so very sorry to hear of Betty's death. I have such good memories of time spent with Betty and Henry, and their hospitality to me and our cousin Elgin. We stayed with them on our trip to Slave Lake and to the south shore of the lake at Kinuso where I scattered my mother's ashes on a lovely summer day. Betty was so supportive and warm, and it was always a pleasure to spend time with her. My love to you, Henry and wishes for strength. It's such a hard time.

Auntie Betty will be fondly be remembered for her sunny smile and cheerful laugh. I have many Christmas memories celebrating at their house. Visiting at the house or cabin. Sending love to the family.
