Elva Mae Charles

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elva Mae Charles on October 2, 2025 with her family by her side at the age of 81.

Elva was born in Calgary, Alberta on May 8, 1944 and lived both in Alberta and British Columbia in her lifetime.

Elva is lovingly remembered by her loving husband of 62 years, Carle; and her beloved children, Gina (Patrick) and Lana (Greg); and grandchildren, Sara and Craig (Morgan).

Elva enjoyed time with her family. Christmas was a favourite season with Santas, sleighs, and angels making many appearances throughout the years. Creating costumes for her girls for Halloween and creating birthday cakes and parties, taking the time to make them special was important to her too. Swimming and going down waterslides with her grandchildren. Adventures to historical parks, zoos and maybe a rollercoaster or two were activities she enjoyed with them as well and would chat about them proudly.

One of her most favourite things was belonging to TOPS, where she acted as treasurer for many years. She would be so happy and excited to tell you what had happened at PRD and show you her many pins and T-shirts from those times. She even achieved her goal of KOP status. Another one of her passions was playing Mahjong with her group of friends and loved when she would win a game or two.

Elva will be greatly missed by her loving family and amazing friends.
