In Memory
Emmanuel Bonello

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the peaceful passing of Emmanuel Bonello who was born in Malta to John and Theresa Bonello on June 8, 1936, and passed away in Calgary, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the age of 90.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Michael Bonello, Denise Walker (Bonello); his cherished grandchildren, Samantha Walker, Adam Walker, Brody Bonello, and Rachel Wailia; his sisters Vivian Bone, Esther Pulis; his brother, Charlie Bonello; and his dear friends and second family at Exec Suite Apartment Complex, who brought friendship, companionship, and joy to his later years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Doris, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.
Emmanuel was truly a ray of sunshine to everyone who knew him. He had a wonderfully positive outlook on life and made it his mission to spread happiness, laughter, and kindness, even during difficult times. He had a special ability to brighten a room and bring a smile to those around him. Some of his happiest moments were spent with his grandchildren. He loved playing soccer with them, going to the movies, and even joining them for an escape room—although he never quite understood the concept! He was always willing to lend a helping hand and took great pride in being the all-around handyman for his family and friends.
Emmanuel will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, wisdom, playful sense of humor, and his ability to find joy in the simple things in life. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, friend, and a man who wanted those around him to be happy. His laughter, kindness, and loving spirit will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Special thanks to Dr. Tam and the compassionate staff of Unit 72 at Rocky View General Hospital for their care and support.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
