Enith Marie Bettcher

Enith Bettcher went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 after 86 years with us. Enith will forever be in the hearts of her children, Tim (Donna-Lee) and Candy (Bruce); grandchildren, Krystle (Chays), Thayer (Allison), Hayley, and Logan; and great grandchildren, Mya and Jayden. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Allen (Marlene); sisters-in-law, Rosemarie and Gloria; and brother-in-law Dwight, (Sandra).

Enith was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Vern; and granddaughter, Stefanie (Aaron).

Enith had a gentle, easy going spirit and never hesitated to talk with anyone. She loved people and always wanted to help. Whether it was church visitation, hosting Bible studies, supporting and delivering for Neighbor-link or supporting needy children in other countries, Enith led by example. Always love and kindness to everyone.

Enith and Vern hosted many people during their 63 year marriage. There were guests for short stays and other guests that boarded for various timeframes. Sometimes it was family and other times it was people from other countries. Enith worked as a telephone operator and later, when the children were older, part time at Sears. She enjoyed cooking and hosting get togethers for any occasion. There were celebrations for family and more celebrations for guests' families. There was always some reason to get together. Enith especially enjoyed traveling and camping with Vern, her children and grandchildren.

Enith has received love and friendship from so many wonderful people. She spent 6+ years at Covenant Care St. Theresa Place. Many thanks to Dr. Millar and staff for the wonderful care she received through the years. Thank you to Grace Baptist Church for the decades of fellowship and friendship. Thanks also to Pastor Doug, for all the support and visits.

There are not enough words to express the gratitude for the Anderson family. Brenda (niece), Kevin and Ethan have done so much to support Enith through the twilight years of her life. Thank you.

There are so many people who have helped Enith through the hardships of her life. They all expressed the same opinion, Enith never complained. She was sweet, kind and thoughtful, doing whatever she could to not burden others.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 10:30 am at Grace Baptist Church, 2670 Radcliffe Dr. SE, Calgary, AB

Auntie Enith and uncle vern were always hosting my family. We spent many Christmas holidays with them. Auntie Enith was always making sure that we had everything we needed. I stayed with her and her family 👪 with my oldest son so we could go to the Calgary stampede. We had a great time. It was always fun with Auntie Enith and Uncle Vern.
