Ernest "Ernie" Webster

Born In Winnipeg Manitoba, Ernie passed away in Airdrie, Alberta at the age of 91. He will be remembered by his loving wife, Colombe and; his five children, Alicea, Susanne, William, Kenneth and Glenn; as well as his grandchildren, Cori, Lori-Ann, Dylan, Martin, Ashley, Ariel and Coral and a number of great grandchildren.
Ernie will be remembered as a great musician, a dedicated hockey coach, and friend to those who knew him. He spent most of his working career in law enforcement in the military, as well as the insurance industry after his retirement from the service. He had a love for the outdoors and wildlife. Upon his retirement, he and Colombe became full time snowbirds where they made many friends from across Canada and the U.S.A. Most that knew him enjoyed listening to him play his saxophone which brought him the greatest joy since he was a young boy. Ernie was known for his sense of humor and a prankster. He was always making people laugh. He was a community guy who enjoyed helping others no matter what the challenge was, he could fix anything. He had a love for woodworking and always had a project on the go. Most of all he was a family man that has always enjoyed being with his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
