Evelyn Scarrow Facette

The children of Evelyn are saddened to share the death of their mother, in her 84th year, on Sunday, August 11, 2024, in Didsbury, Alberta.

Evelyn is lovingly remembered by her children, Ron (friend Beth) of Hamilton, Debbie (late Blaine) of Fort Macleod, Cathy (Barry) of Airdrie, Mike (Teresa) and Dave (Glenda) all of Calgary.

Evelyn, is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Dave Scarrow (Carolyn), Marlyn Mackinnon (Dave), John Scarrow (Clare), Mary Robertson (late Alex), Chuck Scarrow (Lynda), Cheryl Poulin (Jim), and Peter Scarrow (Debra).

Evelyn, was a compassionate and caring mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. She dearly loved her family, and also had a special gift in caring for all animals. Although Evelyn lived in western Canada for many years, a large piece of her heart was in Bronte, Ontario, where she grew up.

Evelyn, moved into Abrio Place in Airdrie in September 2023, where she met many new friends and was loved by everyone. Evelyn’s past time at Abrio was getting together with her new friends and she looked forward to her Bingo and Crokinole nights.

She was predeceased by her brother, Jim Scarrow (Shirley); sisters, June MacLean (Clare), and Margaret White, and parents, Richard Scarrow and Edith Wood Scarrow.

Evelyn, will be especially missed by her precious grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank all the Staff at Abrio Place for being so good to Evelyn.

We would also like to thank her closest friends at Abrio that helped her so much when she was having her mobility issues. Bert and Yvonne, you two were so helpful - mom loved you both so much. Thank you also to all the nurses and doctors at the Didsbury Hospital who cared for Evelyn the last month of her life.

An inurnment at Olds Cemetery as well as a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
