In Memory
Fay Louise Lang

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Fay Louise Lang share the news of her sudden passing on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 72 years of age.
Fay was born March 14, 1953 in Taber, Alberta to her late mother and father, Margaret and Carl Heck. She grew up on a farm in Hays, Alberta with her younger siblings, Linda (Ross), Robert (Rose), Dennis (Lorraine) and Tom. Fay then moved to Edmonton for work, later relocating to Olds where she worked at a travel agency. Olds is where she met the love of her life, Lester and they were married on October 27, 1979.
Fay spent many years helping on the family farm and taking care of their property with Lester alongside raising their children. Fays’ priority and passion was her family and this became even more evident as her grandchildren were welcomed into the family.
The fondest memories with Fay include being together as a family, and the evidence of Fays’ love for her children and grandchildren most noticeable by the smiles on her face and her joyful laughter. Fay was known for always ensuring the company they kept went without want and felt right at home.
Fay will be forever loved and remembered by her husband, Lester; step-daughter, Brenda; sons, Jason and Justin; daughter-in-law, Kelly; grandchildren, Taylor, Cole (Kailee), Gabe (Caitlin), Mason (Ruth), Stella and Gemma and extended family and friends. Fay was predeceased by her parents, and step-son Rick.
Fay in recent years battled Alzheimer’s and did so with grace and at times too much pride, recently in the care of The Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury. The family would like to sincerely thank the healthcare workers there for the compassion and care they provided.
Respecting the wishes of Fay, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
Fay was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and overall person to all who were lucky enough to know her. She will be forever loved and missed.
“A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take." -Cardinal Mermillod.
