In Memory
Garrison Dale "Garry" Paulson

Garrison Dale "Garry" Paulson was born on February 4, 1938, at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to parents Irvin Garrison Paulson and Dorothy Lucille Paulson (nee Olson). Garry passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, in Calgary, Alberta after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
After a weekend surrounded by family, with many stories and laughs, Garry passed peacefully at the age of 88.
Garry is lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Diane Marion Paulson; their children, Shelley Ellen Mabbott (Randy), Jeffrey Garrison Paulson (Jane); grandsons, Paul Mabbott (Caitlynn), Eric Paulson (Kierstyn), Jules Paulson; and great-granddaughter, Ruby Mabbott. Garry is also survived by his younger brother, Ronald Allan Paulson; and is predeceased by his older sister, Donna Colleen Thelma Lamb (nee Paulson).
Garry married Diane Marion Paulson on October 8, 1960, at Edmonton, Alberta and in 2025 they received congratulations from King Charles III on their 65th wedding anniversary.
Garry had a varied career, which in his younger days included breaking and training horses and operating a Massey Ferguson farm implements dealership in Provost, Alberta. Garry moved into real estate construction and property management and ended his career after spending 25 years with Royal Bank of Canada where he managed the bank's Real Estate Operations department.
Garry and Diane retired in 1998 and spent over 25 winters as snowbirds travelling to their winter home in Indio, California where they made many friends, had much fun and volunteered at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic golf tournament over numerous years.
Garry loved camping, cycling, golf, playing hockey, horses, family, travel, gardening, wine making (and drinking) and had a wit and sense of humour that endeared him to all.
A celebration of Garry's life will be held at a later date.
