George & Shirley Bannerman

George Henry Bannerman and Shirley Margaret Bannerman have now both entered into the presence of their Lord Jesus Christ after having celebrated 67 years of marriage.

George passed away on July 11, 2023 at Villa Marie Covenant Care in Red Deer, Alberta and Shirley passed away on May 04,2025 at Villa Marie Covenant Care both at the age of 90 years.

George and Shirley are lovingly remembered by their son, Laurie (Roi); grandchildren, Stacey (Rod) Wing and family, and Misty (Daniel) Lear. They are also survived by Elaine Kavener, Bob (Janet) Bannerman, Sylvia Bannerman, extended relatives and special friend Colleen Markus.

George was predeceased by his daughter, Karen; parents, Alexander & Sarah; siblings, Ruth (Jim) Lockhart, Roy (Irene) Bannerman, Margaret (John & Bert) Cook, Ruby (Frank) Belmore, Ivy (Raymond) Wray, John (Sylvia) Bannerman and Grace Harder.

Shirley was predeceased by her daughter, Karen; parents, Roy & Jessie Huffman; sister, Erma McKay (Stuart).

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Alto Reste Cemetery in Red Deer, AB at a later date to celebrate Shirley's recent passing and to once again remember and honor George.
