Geraldine Caskey

Geraldine Caskey passed away Tuesday, October 21 at the age of 93 years old.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Valerie (Dean) Evens, Cameron Caskey and Roxanne (Mark) Ohe; her grandchildren, Dana (Jake), Damien (Amanda) , Dustin (Clare), Sabrina (Steve), Adam, Summer, Camille, Joshua, Matthew, Jacob (Brittany) and Alexandra (Robert). and great-grandchildren, Makara, Rhys, Hayden, Cruz, Cole, Keira, Isla, Asher, Matthew, Lily, Celeste, Leona, Sloan and Casey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Geraldine was predeceased by her loving husband, Alexander Vance Caskey; her granddaughter, Grace; her siblings, Lily Guspodarchuk, William Ternovetsky, John Ternowatsky, Olga Perron and Carrie Fernets, and several nieces and nephews.

She loved to read and watch her sports and game shows on TV. She was an avid Edmonton Oiler fan and cheered for the Toronto Blue Jays and Edmonton Elks. At Bethany Care she took up playing bingo and doing crafts. She loved both and enjoyed participating in the other activities that took place. Geraldine loved ice cream. She had a saying, "You can never have too much ice cream."

Geraldine trained in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan as a Registered Nurse. Her favourite wards were maternity and emergency. Her and Vance lived in many different places and were involved in many different businesses. She was never one to complain, she was his strongest supporter.

Family was the love of her life, her everything. Gerry was a very loving person and always had an amazing smile right up to the end .

All the staff at Bethany Care were very important to Gerry. Thank you to all of you for everything you did for her. Thank you for the visits, the chats, the hugs, the laughter and the extra special care.

A Celebration of Life for Geraldine Caskey will be held at Bethany Care Airdrie at a later date and Geraldine will be laid to rest with her husband in the spring of 2026.
