In Memory
Glenys Pugh

Glenys Pugh passed away in Airdrie Alberta on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the age of 78.
Glenys Evelyn Pugh was born in Drumheller, Alberta on June 14, 1947, the oldest of two children, Glenys and John, to parents Eve and Dave Pugh who farmed in the area. It was there she grew up, met Bill Budenski and had two sons, Brian and Adam. In 1984 she received a diploma from Lakeland Collage, Vermilion in land assessment which propelled her to work around the province of Alberta, but her goal was always to live on the west coast. She lived in several communities on Vancouver Island over the years but returned to Alberta in 2003, in the Lloydminster area.
Glenys pursued several hobbies including carpentry, gardening, needlepoint, and quilting. She was also well known for her habit of taking in stray animals and giving them a good home. If she couldn’t give them shelter, she did her best find them one.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Brian Budenski of Calgary Alberta, and Adam Budenski of Kitscoty Alberta. She also leaves her Brother John Pugh of Prince George, her nephew Tyson Pugh of Armstrong BC, her niece Erin Elder of Armstrong BC. Glenys will also be missed by the many friends she has gathered throughout her rich life and numerous travels.
Glenys did not wish to have a Graveside Service but did want a lively Celebration of Life for which the dress code is to be ‘brightly coloured’. This event is to take place at the Austrian Canadian Club, 3112 11 St NE, Calgary, AB Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers a donation in her name to your local animal shelter is suggested.
