In Memory
Greg Esau

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gregory “Greg” Lyle Esau, of Airdrie, AB, at the age of 64.
Greg was a man of many hats—literally and figuratively. Throughout his life, he wore them all: from driving long-haul trucks to chicken farming, eventually finding his true calling in sales. Whether he was selling computers or agricultural equipment, Greg’s real gift was his "gift of gab." He possessed a legendary sarcastic wit and the rare ability to talk to anyone about anything, often leaving them with a laugh or a humorous eye-roll.
When he wasn't working, Greg was usually in his element strumming his guitar, hitting the trails on his snowmobile, or cheering on his favorite drivers in NASCAR. He loved the simplicity of camping and the company of his dog. Recently, his favorite place to be was soaking in his new hot tub. Above all, Greg was a devoted grandfather. Nothing made him happier than playing with Milo and Ophelia or sitting down to read them a story.
Greg is lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Bonny; his children, Craig and Crystal (Mick); his mother, Alice; and his cherished grandchildren, Milo and Ophelia. He also leaves behind his brothers, Darin (Donna) and Les (Kerry); and his sister, Bev. He was predeceased by his father, Lewis, and his brother, Corey (Susan).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada 1000-170 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M5H 3B3 or the Canadian Transplant Association PO Box 71530 Hillcrest Post Office, 1463 Johnston Rd, White Rock, BC, V4B 3Z0.
In honor of Greg’s memory, the family also asks that you please consider registering as an organ donor.
