Hennie Rickett (nee Moes)

Hennie was born in Zuidwolde, Netherlands on Feb 21, 1953 to Hank and Henny Moes. She immigrated to Canada with her parents at 5 weeks old, settling first in the Edmonton area. Hennie moved with her family to Calgary in 1964 and as an adult lived in various Alberta locations. As the oldest of 5 children, Hennie is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Harry (Betty) Moes, Joan Moes, Grace (Richard) Havinga and Chris Moes. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her beloved husband, Dave Rickett. Hennie was especially grateful to her sister, Joan, with whom she lived for the past 13 years. Joan provided Hennie with much needed care in her last years as her mobility and health declined. Hennie suffered several strokes in her final days leading up to her passing on Sunday, July 14, 2024. Hennie’s quick wit and sense of humour will be missed by those close to her.
