In Memory of My Brother

Remembering a Life, Honouring a Journey

It is with a mixture of sorrow and reflection that I share the passing of my brother. Though our journeys led us down different paths, Howard carved out his own place in the world.

His absence now brings a poignant reminder of the complexity of love and the importance of forgiveness, compassion, and acceptance.

He leaves behind family members who remember him in their own ways, each holding private moments, stories, and lessons learned. May he find the peace that may have eluded him in life, and may those who knew him, near or far, remember what was good and gentle in his nature.

As we say goodbye, we honour the entirety of his journey—the light and the shadows—and extend our deepest condolences to all whose lives he touched. May his memory remind us to reach for understanding, to cherish those we hold dear, and to carry forward with empathy and hope.

Was so sorry to hear of Howard’s passing. 😔 Sending our sincere condolences to Linda and her family and all his friends. I haven’t seen Howard for many years, but I remember all his visits to Manitoba with his family and the good times we all had as cousins. He was hoping to get back to Manitoba to see his extended family and his
Uncle but his health wasn’t allowing it. I will miss all his well informed messages and hearing about his little dog Izzy. I am so happy to hear that she is ok, as I know how much he cared for her. He is now at peace and free from all the pain he had. Rest easy Howard!!

Howard was a lifelong friend of mine.. 50 plus years, growing up as neighbours in forest lawn then to Airdrie. Walking to school and back, spending summer holidays just hanging out. Later years seeing each other occasionally, until a year ago when he again reached out to me. Time has away of bringing people back together. I’ll miss you Howard. Love Randy.

My sincere condolences to Howard’s family. I’m so sorry for your loss. It is nice that he will be laid to rest with his parents. I was hoping the day I did the wellness check on Howard the outcome would have been much different. Sadly it wasn’t. He would be so happy that his little pooch Izzy will be ok.
Sincerely Lori Harnack

You do not know me but that is the most beautiful statement of remembrance I have ever read. My wish for you is that your brother has found peace and that you too find the comfort and understanding you so deserve.
