Jack Bruce

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Jack Bruce on June 22, 2026 at the age of 92 years old.
Jack was born in Bluff Creek, Manitoba and raised in Kinosota, Manitoba. He was the son of late James and Ethel Bruce.
He will lovingly be remembered by his wife Sheila of 69 years; children, Wayne (Maxine), Kelly (Leona), Richard (Shelly), and Paula (Rob); grand children, Dane, Damara (Chad), Kyle (Amanda), Jesse (Justine), Karly, Joel (Janine), Kristyn (Viktor), Angelina (Liam) and Chaz; great grand children Kadence; Victoria, Ella, Hunter, Emersyn (Maycie & Gracelynn), Veronica; Ryder, Rhett, and Kyra. He is survived by his brothers, Garland (Donna) and Jimmy (Crystal); and sisters. Edith and Louise (Stan) and is predeceased by his grandson, Chaz and other siblings, Mary (Ron), Marge (Herb), and Isabel (Frank).
Jack was a man of many talents and passions. He built a career in mining, construction, mechanics, drove school buses, family store and gas station, Oak Ridge Ranch (PMU), Richardson Farms, engineering department at Canadian Linen and Uniform, and fixing and transporting boats at Gilligan’s Boat Sales.
Outside of his career, he was heavily involved in the equine industry including horsemanship shows, Windy Ridge horse riding club, parades, and chariot/chuckwagon racing. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, quadding, hunting, fishing, and picking bottles. He also thoroughly enjoyed spending time and attending all of his many grand and great grand children’s sports, events, and birthdays.

The Celebration of Life for Jack “Pops” Bruce will be held at the Airdrie Curling Club, 275 Jensen, Dr. Airdrie on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
