It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James Michael “Jim” Doyle on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Didsbury Long Term Care Centre.

Jim was the beloved husband, of Joyce Doyle (née Alcock); A devoted father, of Stephanie (Darcy) and Jason (Jada & daughter Charlie); and a loving and supportive Papa to his cherished granddaughter, Emma.

He was a proud Uncle to Sean, Michael, Phillip Doyle and Brian & Barry DeGeere.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Edward & Helen Doyle; his brothers Bernie, Tom (Mena); and his sister, Mary Theresa. He is lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law, Jean Doyle, as well as many extended family members, and wonderful friends.

Born and raised in Ontario, Jim made Airdrie, Alberta his home in 1981, where he remained for the rest of his life. A dedicated and hardworking man, he proudly worked for the Rocky View School Division for 25 years. Jim was known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, unwavering devotion to his family, and enjoying a good time surrounded by family & friends.

Above all else, Jim cherished the time he spent with his family. Whether sharing stories, offering advice, or simply enjoying life’s everyday moments together, he found his greatest happiness in those he loved. He will be remembered for his compassion, sense of humour, and the steady presence he brought to the lives of those around him.

Jim will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him

So sorry for your families loss.
I am one of the Home Care Health care Aides. I loved seeing him on my list of clients. He was a wonderful man and I loved having conversations with him during our visits..

Please accept my most sincere condolences, Joyce. I was saddened to learn of his passing. I worked with Jim at Muriel Clayton School for many years. He was such a pleasant person and he took great pride in his work. May your memories of Jim be a blessing and a comfort.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. My heart goes out to you Joyce and your whole family. I worked with Jim for many years at Muriel Clayton school. He was such a nice person.
