Jean C Avey “Stormy” passed away in Extendicare Michener Hill in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 90 on Thursday, July 4th, 2024. Stormy is lovingly remembered by her companion, Bill “Spyder” Macdonald; her sister, Lois Levasseur; her son, Ross (Jo-Ann) of Dartmouth, NS; daughter, Cindy of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Ross (Celeste) of Dartmouth NS; Stephanie(Braden) of Calgary AB; Miranda (Chris) of Lawrencetown, NS; Alexander (Felicia) of Calgary AB; and great-grandchildren, Nathan of Calgary AB, Jaxon of Calgary AB and Madison and Thomas of Dartmouth, NS.
Stormy
was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander “Sandy” Avey of North Bay, Ont.;
her sister, Nancy Wood of Niagara Falls, Ont.; her son, Danny Avey of Vancouver,
BC and her son-in-law, Terry Penny of Calgary, AB.
Stormy
was born in Scotland and moved to Niagara Falls. She later joined the armed
forces and was enlisted for 5 years. Later on was a Manager of the Empire
hotel in North Bay Ont. for many years then Manager of Mike’s Mart. Special
thanks to the nursing staff at Michener Hill for taking special care of
her. Cremation has taken place.

our hearts ache for you all with this tremendous loss in all of your lives.
You all did so very much for your Mom, grandmother, great grandmother, girlfriend than anyone could ever imagine.. .. right up to the very end.
You can all be proud. She loved you all so much and you are now all her legacy.
She will live on in each of you….. forever
Watch for the little signs from her, as I am sure there will be many.
