JoAnne Bernard
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of JoAnne Bernard (nee Boychuk) who passed away peacefully Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Red Deer Hospital at the age of 70 with her loving husband and partner for 41 years, Kevin, and family at her side.
Joanne was born August 22, 1954 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, the youngest daughter of Nick and Olga Boychuk. She received her education at the Yorkton Regional High School and later moved to Alberta.
Joanne and Kevin enjoyed travelling together, visiting many countries. She also enjoyed spending time at their home at the lake.
Joanne was predeceased by her mother, Olga in 1996, her father, Nick in 1998, her brother, Bill in 2013 and her sister, Mary in 2020.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her husband, Kevin; step-daughter, Julia, (Andrew) Bugden; her sisters, Margaret Turner of Airdrie, AB, Judy Schwab of Yorkton, SK, Joan Malkin of Edmonton, AB and sister in-law, Kathy Woodbeck of Winnipeg, MB; nieces and nephews, Nicole (Darcy) Schultz, Ryan Turner, Terri (Clint) Boychuk, Janelle (Joshua) Prybylski, Wayne (Kathy) Malkin, David (Miranda) Malkin, Darryl (Wanda) Woodbeck, Dean (Marietta) Woodbeck, Patrick (Douglas) Woodbeck; plus several grand nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts we would prefer you plant a tree in her honour.
