John Hopkinson

John Hopkinson passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the age of 84.

Born in Goderich, Ontario, John spent a lifetime in aviation, eventually founding Hopkinson Aircraft Sales in Calgary. More important to him were the family, friendships and relationships he built along the way.

John is lovingly remembered by his wife and partner of 42 years, Christina; his children, Andrew (Nicole), Keith, Sandra and Ruth; his grandchildren, Jack, William, Henry, Duncan, Hannah, Avery and Zachary; and his sisters, Anne (Michael) Tafeit and Jane (Clare) Sager.

A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at 240 Aviation Place NE Calgary on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM
