Our beautiful, sweet Mom was reunited with Dad (John) on Sunday, February 8th, 2026 with her children by her side during the final hours. Mom spent her life caring for and loving those around her. She worked several years at Lacombe Hospital as a Ward Aide and Unit Clerk, where coworkers and patients were blessed by her caring heart, many becoming friends. All who met Mom were welcomed with a big smile and warm welcome. Till the day she passed Mom lived this way often comforting others while challenged with her own health in the continuing care home. She cherished her and Dad’s families of origin, her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends. It was easy to cherish her back. Mom enjoyed arts and crafts as well as tending to her flower and vegetable gardens which were her stress relievers; many of us were recipients of her handywork or a meal made from the produce of her garden. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff at Lacombe Continuing Care Home who supported Mom during her stay and the heartfelt compassion they showed during her passing.

All who knew Mom (Joyce) and Dad (John) are welcome to join us in a time of remembering and celebrating their lives on March 28th, 2026 at Tees Community Hall from 1:30 – 4:30. There won’t be a formal ceremony - just friends and family getting together for coffee and a treat, something they loved to do. Join us anytime during this event, “The coffee is always on”.
